CNN reporter reassigned after tweet 'scum'

On Thursday, Diana Magnay, a reporter from CNN called a group of Israelis who had gathered in Southern Israel to watch the starting of the ground invasion, “scum." She was reassigned to their Moscow bureau after tweeting about a group that was cheering on the missiles that were striking Palestinian positions in Gaza.

Reports say that Diana reacted angrily on twitter because she was harassed and threatened before and during live coverage.

She however regrets the language used as it was aimed directly at those who were targeting their crew. Reports say that the group threatened to destroy the crews’ car if Diana spoke out of turn on the air.

Sources say that The British journalist erased the controversial comment on tweeter. She then continued to report for CNN throughout the evening throughout the launch of land invasion of Gaza. She and CNN have apologized for any offense. Diana has not tweeted since.
