Giant Hole Appears In Russia - 262 Ft Wide

An urgent expedition was carried out to investigate a giant hole that appeared in the northern region of Siberia, which is rich in gas. Extraordinary aerial photos illustrate an unexplained hole that experts said it might be 262 ft, in the Yamal Peninsula of northern Russia, which also means the end of the world. The cause of the giant hole is still unknown. Online rumors regarding the giant hole suggest a UFO craft arrival.
A Russian expert said it could be as a result of global warming, hence releasing gases under earth’s surface that blows up like a champagne cork. Experts also suggested that the dark area around the inner part of the crater could be as a result of severe burning that scorched its edges.
Another version of the story is that the hole was formed by a meteorite hitting the place in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region, twenty miles from the Bovanenkovo gas field. Expeditions were organized by Yamal authorities, which includes specialists from the Cryosphere Institute of the Academy of Science, as well as the Russia’s Center for Center for the Study of the Arctic.
Some of their plans were to collect water, air and soil samples from the scene.Experts from Russia’s Emergencies Ministry accompanied the expedition. The Gas supplied to Europe normally comes from Yamal, a huge peninsula, which protrudes into Arctic waters.
