Pope Francis Says Out 50 Roman Catholic Priests, 1 Is A Pedophile

Pope Francis revealed that at least 1 out of 50 Catholic priests is pedophile. He criticized the subject as a leprosy that the enemy is using to bring down the Church. Pope added that the Bishops and Cardinals are among the 2% that indulge in child abuse.
UN issued news that blamed the Vatican of adopting policies that allowed priests to abuse thousands of children for many years. Pope condemned this issue; he added that it the most horrible and dirtiest thing one can ever think of. He promised to deal with this kind of behavior seriously. The Popes remarks came in after the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby warned that new cases on child abuse will be put to open in the Church of England.
Pope Francis admitted that pedophilia was common in the Catholic Church, and therefore, was against celibacy among the priests, even though the Vatican dismissed what he said. A couple of weeks ago, Pope warned pedophile priests as he held a lengthy meeting with 6 victims of abuse; some from United Kingdom while others from Ireland. He begged abuse survivors to forgive the offenders who claim to be sons and daughters of the Church. 57-year-old, Peter Saunders, from United Kingdom is one of the abused victims. Two priests, one a teacher and the other a member of his family abused Peter since he was 8 years old and continued for over 5 years. Peter says the encounter is life changing.
The first case of abuse by priests was reported in America and Canada in the 80s. In the 90s, there was a widespread of cases of molestation in Ireland. It is reported that such cases have leaked countries all over the world in the last ten years. Pope Francis said that the terrible acts of abuse have left permanent scars in the Catholic Church, and that members of the Church should pray for forgiveness.
